NASA is sending names to the moon, here’s how to get on the list
NASA is inviting people around the world to send their names on a historic trip around the Moon. As part of the Artemis II mission, the first crewed lunar journey in over 50 years, the space agency will carry a digital memory card containing millions of submitted names aboard the Orion spacecraft.
Depending on the timing, NASA could launch a fresh crew to the space station while four other astronauts are flying around the moon.
The Artemis II mission will set several notable human spaceflight records. Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen will travel farther from Earth than any human in history. They won’t land. That distinction will fall to the next mission in line in NASA’s Artemis program.
NASA is providing individuals around the globe with the opportunity to get their name to the moon through the Artemis II mission set to happen soon. The names will be inscribed on an SD card
