Phoenix Police say people could see what resembles military activity in the coming weeks, as military training exercises take place in parts of Phoenix.

The Phoenix Police Department advised that these exercises are not immigration enforcement.

The Port of Moses Lake has been awarded a $1.2 million loan from the state Community Aviation Revitalization Board to help pay for upgrades to the area used for military exercises. Kim DeTrolio, the port’s director of finance and administration,

Exercises are being carried out Jan. 21 and Feb. 13 at locations owned by Phoenix and will primarily happen during the evening and night.

President Trump has not authorized military action in Iran, but the U.S. has built up its presence in the region in recent days.
