OpenAI just revealed what its new in-house team, OpenAI for Science, has been up to. The firm has released a free LLM-powered tool for scientists called Prism, which embeds ChatGPT in a text editor for writing scientific papers.
OpenAI introduced the "OpenAI Grove," a new program for early tech entrepreneurs looking to build with artificial intelligence. Grove will be hosted in OpenAI's San Francisco headquarters and will have roughly 15 participants in its first cohort.
OpenAI for Science is an initiative through which the company addresses scientists – and certainly wants to retain them. Now OpenAI is launching Prism, an AI-based workspace for scientific writing. This is because OpenAI expects that after the transformation in software development, a comparable transformation will now take place in science.
