The Clock Tower of Multan, locally known as Ghanta Ghar, is a landmark from the British colonial era located in the heart of Multan, Pakistan. Historical Origins Construction: Construction began on February 12, 1884, following the Municipal Act of 1883, which created a need for centralized administrative offices. The building took four years to complete, officially opened in 1888. Location: It was built over the ruins of the Haveli of Ahmad Khan Sadozai, which had been destroyed during the Siege
