Restored footage from 1906 of a streetcar traveling down Market Street in San Francisco, California, United States. This footage was filmed by the Miles Brothers on April 14, 1906, just 4 days before the devastating 7.9 magnitude earthquake that destroyed over 80% of the city and killed more than 3,000 people. The Miles Brothers (Harry, Herbert, Joseph and Earl) were pioneers in American cinema who owned and operated a film studio located at 1139 Market Street in San Francisco. As the camera tra
